SETUP AND USE ADVICE

UTILITY TRAILER QUESTIONS

SHOULD I GET A WOOD DECK OR A STEEL MESH FLOOR?

Wood decks (pressure-treated) are quieter, offer better traction for walking, and are cheap to replace. Steel mesh floors are lighter, self-cleaning (mud falls through), and rot-proof, but can be slippery when wet.

Yes. Our landscape utility trailers come with reinforced mesh gates designed specifically for rolling stock. If you have exceptionally heavy equipment, we can upgrade you to a heavy-duty gate with spring assists.

In Ontario, if the trailer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is over 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg), brakes are legally required. Most single-axle utility trailers under this weight do not require brakes, making them easier to maintain.

Our trailers feature low rails that act as continuous tie-down points. We also install welded D-rings or E-track clips on the floor for securing ATVs or motorcycles that need four-point tie-downs.

Absolutely. While they look simple, our commercial utility trailers feature highway-rated tires (not wheelbarrow tires), proper leaf spring suspension, and sealed lighting to handle 400-series highway speeds safely.
